Amazon Unveils Fire TV Stick 4K with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos Support for $49.99

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K

Amazon today announced the Fire TV Stick 4K with Alexa integration. The new streaming stick from Amazon also has Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and HDR10+ support.

Priced at $49.99, the Fire TV Stick 4K will come with a new Alexa Voice remote which also features buttons for power and volume control. The new 4K streaming stick from Amazon features a quad-core 1.7GHz MediaTek chip that is over 80 percent faster than its predecessor. This allows the Fire TV Stick 4K to load apps and content faster.

Amazon claims the Fire TV Stick 4K is the first streaming media stick to support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. And with Alexa integration, it is easier for viewers to find 4K content for streaming using their voice. The Alexa integration also means that Echo users will be able to use their smart speaker to playback content on their TV connected to a Fire TV Stick 4K.

The new Alexa Voice remote features Bluetooth and infrared which allows it to control compatible TV/AV devices, switch inputs and channels, and more. The remote is also compatible with all existing Fire TV devices and can be purchased separately for $29.99.

The $49.99 Fire TV Stick 4K is up for pre-order on Amazon and goes on sale in the United States and Canada from October 31. It will then make its way to the United Kingdom, Germany, and India on November 14.
